7 Days Tour Details
We will leave Marrakesh in the morning and starting our 7 Days Tour from Marrakech to sahara desert and back to Marrakech. We drive towards Ouarzazate via Tizi N’tichka pass. Then we will then visit the Glaoui Kasbah in Telouet and continue on the road to the oldest Kasbah in Morocco, Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah where many movies have been filmed. Next we will head to Ouarzazate which is known as the “Hollywood of Africa” and visit the Atlas Studios and Taourirt Kasbah. Overnight stay in Ouarzazate.
After breakfast in Ouarzazate we will depart to Zagora and pass through Daraa Valley and enjoy the palms and then visit an old Kasbah in the Daraa Valley. Before arriving at Zagora we will have lunch and spend the afternoon in this southern town. Afterwards we will drive to Tamgrout Village and visit the famous old library there. This library includes many religious books: the manuscripts of the Koran written on animal skin which has been preserved
After your night in Zagora and visit to Tamgrout and its historic library we will leave in the morning to Zagora and drive on off-road and discover desert and its beautiful landscape towards Ouzina and pass through many Berber villages. We will have lunch in Tafraout Village (Hassi Fougani) and then we will continue off-road to Ouzina Village where we will spend the night in a riad.
After breakfast in Ouzina Village we will drive to Merzouga and pass through grave stones in Touz, and then head to Merzouga where you will enjoy your night near the sand dunes and have tagine.
After a night in Merzouga we will then take a tour of the sand dunes in 4 x 4 vehicle. During this tour we will visit nomads in tents and experience their lifestyle. We will then visit the iron mines and drive to Khamlia Village where you will listen to Gnawa music. The Gnawa people originated in West Africa and were brought to Morocco by migration. In the afternoon, you will camel trek to the desert where you will spend the night in traditional Berber tents and listen to drum music under the moons and stars. Early morning you will wake up to climb the sand dunes to see the beautiful sunrise.
After you have seen the sunrise the camel man will bring you back to your hotel where you can shower and have breakfast. Afterwards, we will then return to Rissani and you will visit an old market where they sell unique handcrafts, clothes and dates. Afterwards, we will then visit the highest narrowest Gorge of Morocco (GORGE TODGHA). After Gorge Todgha we will then head to Boumalane Dades and discover Valley of Dades and its majestic and amazing rock structure called the (“Monkeys Toes”). Overnight accommodation in Dades Gorge.
After breakfast in hotel we will drive to Ouarzazate and pass through Skoura oasis with its authentic Kasbah. Ouarzazate is known as the “Hollywood of Desert” by Moroccans and is a province in the Souss-Mass-Draa of southern-central Morocco. Whilst sightseeing in Ouarzazate you will see a Taourirt Kasbah which was the Kasbah of former Caid Thami El Glaoui. After Ouarzazate we will drive to the fortified village and Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou which is under UNESCO World Heritage Site and where many movies have been filmed in the Atlas Studios. After Ait Ben Haddou we will travel directly to Marrakesh by crossing through the bends of Tizi Ntichka in the High Atlas Mountains. We will enter Marrakesh town by evening and this day is the last day of your 7 Days Tour from Marrakech to sahara desert and back to Marrakech.
