Enjoy 9 Days tour from fez. Fez Founded in the 9th century, Fez reached its height in the 13th–14th centuries under the Marinids, when it replaced Marrakesh as the capital of the kingdom. The urban fabric and the principal monuments in the medina – madrasas, fondouks, palaces, residences, mosques and fountains - date from this period. Although the political capital of Morocco was transferred to Rabat in 1912, Fez has retained its status as the country's cultural and spiritual centre.
Day 1 : Fes to Merzouga via Ifrane Midelt and Atlas Mountains - Erfoud - Rissani - Merzouga
We drive to Merzouga, and pass over Middle Atlas Mountains by passing through Ifran city where you will see the sculpture of a lion in a park. Afterwards, we will drive to Azrou forest and stop to take pictures for monkeys. Your day trip continues to Midelt city and have lunch. After we will cross Tizi N’talghomt pass and Ziz Gorge. Thereafter, we will journey along Ziz Valley, passing a series of fortified Berber villages. We will then pass over Erfoud city, before getting to Merzouga, where you will have a glass of mint tea before camel trek to Berber tents in the middle dunes.
Day 2 : Merzouga - Ouzina Village
After your night in riad in Merzouga , you can shower and have breakfast before we travel to the rural village of Ouzina located deep in the desert. In this village you will have the chance to visit rural people and red Hamada Mountains which are rich in fossils and unique from other places you have visited. Overnight in riad in Ouzina.
Day 3 : Ouzina Village – Ramlia Village – Zagora
After breakfast in Ouzina we will drive off-road towards Zagora by passing through different Berber villages. And many enjoying different colors of landscape (red and black mountains). Arriving Zagora evening, overnight in riad in Zagora.
Day 4 : Zagora – Valley Daraa - ouarzazate
After breakfast in riad in Zagora we will drive to Ouarzazate and pass through Daraa Valley and its green beauty nature of tree palms, river and Kasbahs, then we will have break in Agdaz for lunch before get to ouarzazate where we will spend accommodation night in riad.
Day 5 : Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas Mountain – Marrakech
After your night in Ouarzazate we will discover and visit the “Hollywood of Africa” as it known in Morocco and then visit the Atlas Studios and Taourirt Kasbah. Then we continue on the road to the oldest Kasbah in Morocco, Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah where many movies filmed. And it is under UNESCO World Heritage Site. After Ait Ben Haddou we will travel directly to Marakesh by crossing through the bends of Tizi Ntichka in the High Atlas Mountains. After the Tizi Ntichka bends we will enter Marrakesh town where our tour will end. And we reach you’re the riad or hotel.
Day 6 : Marrakech sightseeing
After breakfast in your riad we will go sightseeing in Marrakesh. You will visit Djemma el Fna Square, Bahia Palace, markets, acrobats, Koutoubia Mosque and Saadian tombs. Afterwards the local guide will bring you back to your riad/hotel.
Day 7 : Marrakech – Essaouira
We will drive to Essaouira via Chichaoua. During our drive you will have a chance to see olive and Argan trees. Then we will take a break and have coffee before following on the road to Essaouira. Next, you will see lots of Arga trees with goats in them. Arriving at Essaouira you will see this historic town which was founded in the 15th century by Portuguese immigrants. In Essaouira there are many things to see such as Medina which listed by UNESCO with its various souks, wood carving workshops. You will have the chance to enjoy the beach atmosphere in front of the medina. You will visit an old fortified fishing port in Atlantic coast and sample a seafood meal. Overnight in Essaouira.
Day 8 : Essaouira - Marrakech
After breakfast in Essaouira we will drive back to Marrakesh, during this journey we visit Argan cooperative and its derivatives. Next, we will continue on the road to your riad/hotel in Marrakesh.
Day 9 : Transfer to the airport
The end of your 9 Days tour from Fes via deep desert to Marrakech We will transfering you to the airport.
