7 Days Tour From Tangier To imperial Cities. Tangier, a Moroccan port on the Strait of Gibraltar, has been a strategic gateway between Africa and Europe since Phoenician times. Its whitewashed hillside medina is home to the Dar el Makhzen, a palace of the sultans that's now a museum of Moroccan artifacts. Day 1 : Tangier - Chefchaouen
Your Tour starts from your accommodation in Tangier. Our driver guide pick you up from the airport or Port of Tangier and departure to Chefchaouen, a town founded as a secret mysterious place from which to attack the Portuguese installed on the north coast. Was totally banned from entering the village to Europeans until the arrival of the Spanish troops in 1920. Arrival in Chefchaouen and afternoon to have a first contact with the city. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2 : Chefchaouen – Fes
We continue our journey to Fes Imperial City, which dates back to the eighth century . It is also one of the first holy cities of Muslim worship in Morocco and also has the pride of hosting one of the oldest universities in the world. Afternoon free to relax and have a first contact with the city that will transport you to the past .
Day 3 : Fes Sightseeing
Guided tour of Fez. Breakfast and guided by the most important places of Fez visit. By entering into the streets of the medina (old city) feel that the time recedes : the guild structure is still present in the work , its narrow streets allows no other transportation than donkeys and a constant swarm of people move the labyrinthine alleys through which we were surprised neighborhoods such as Andalusians and magnificent mosques and Koranic schools. Fez has always been associated with the study and religiosity , and remains the spiritual capital of Morocco. Overnight at Riad.
Day 4 : Fez - Ifrane - Midelt – Ziz Gorges - Erfoud - Rissani - Merzouga
We will leave Fez towards desert and pass through Ifran City (“Switzerland of Morocco”). Then we will visit Azrou forest which is full of aromatic cedar trees and where Barbary macaque monkeys. And then crossing Tizi Ntlghamt path and Ziz Gorge, and while you pass the Tizi Ntlghamt you will notice how the landscape and nature change the nearer you get to Errachidia city. Afterwards; we will drive along the Ziz Valley. And stop to admire the panoramic sights along the road and take pictures. After that, we pass through the small cities of Erfoud. After Erfoud we will drive directly to Merzouga. Arriving Merzouga you will have tea before riding camels and stay in Berber tents in the middle of the dunes.
Day 5 : Merzouga - Todgha Gorge – Boumalane Dades - Dades Gorge
After you see the sunrise, the camel man will bring you back to your hotel and return to Rissani and you will visit an old market which sells unique handcrafts, clothes and dates. Then we will leave to the highest narrowest Gorge of Morocco (GORGE TODGHA). After Gorge Todgha we will head to Bomalane Dades and we will discover valley of Dades and its majestic and amazing rock structure called the (“Monkeys Toes”). Overnight stay in Gorde Dades.
Day 6 : Dades Gorge - Skoura - Ouarzazate- Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
leave Gorge Dades and drive to Ouarzazate and pass through Skoura oasis with its authentic Kasbahs, and then Ouarzazate, which is known as the “Hollywood of the Desert” and of Morocco. Sightseeing in Quarsazate you will see a Taourirt Kasbah which is the Kasbah of former Caid Thami El Glaou where many films have been shot in the Atlas Studios. Then we will drive to the fortified village and Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou which is under UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will travel directly to Marrakesh by crossing through the bends of Tizi Ntichka in the High Atlas Mountains. Passing the Tizi Ntichka bends and enter Marrakesh town at evening.
Day 7 : Marrakech Sightseeing
Full day will be spent in Marrakesh City with a local guide starting with famous square of Jamaa el Fna, which dwells an array of food, local musicians, and fortune tellers. Then we will visit Bahia Palace, Saadian Tomb and the Koutoubia minaret, before enjoying your free time in the souks. Overnight stay in riad/hotel.
Day 8 : Transfering you to airport
The last day of your 8 Days tour from Tangier to Marrakech. Transfer you to airport for your departure flight home.
