3 days Tour From Tangier To Sahara Desert. Tangier, a Moroccan port on the Strait of Gibraltar, has been a strategic gateway between Africa and Europe since Phoenician times. Its whitewashed hillside medina is home to the Dar el Makhzen, a palace of the sultans that's now a museum of Moroccan artifacts. The American Legation Museum, also in the medina, documents early diplomatic relations between the U.S. and Morocco in an 1821 Moorish-style former consulate.
Day 1: Tangier - Volubilis - Fes
Early morning, we will pick you up from your Riad/Hotel or the port of Tangier. Our driver will take you to the Roman Ruins of Volubilis. The archeological site of Volubilis was established in the 3 century AD covering a range of 42 hectares. we will proceed with our adventure to one of the four Imperial Capitals of Morocco, Meknes which is built by the Sultan Moulay Ismail. We will stop to see Bab Mansour door, afterward a drive through the huge walls of the Royal Palace to the Royal Stables and Granaries. At last we continue to Fes where we will spend the night at riad or hotel.
Day 2 : Fes - Azro Forest - Ziz Valley - Sahara Desert
We will drive to southeast to Merzouga. Your first stop will be at Ifran, "the Switzerland of Morocco". And to Merzouga via Midlet and the Ziz Valley. You’ll experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Stopping at the famous cedar forest where you will see Barbarian apes.. After we will continue along the luxuriant Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views along the way. We will drive through welcoming Berber villages to Rissani, the foundation of the Alaouite dynasty - the current ruling royal family in Morocco. Arriving in Merzouga at the end of the day, you’ll be welcomed with a glass of mint tea. after relaxing few minutes in Merzouga, we go to the camels and start an adventure in the sand dunes. spend the night in an equipped camp with drums music in the middle of the Sahara.
Day 3 : Merzouga Sahara Desert - Todgha Gorge - Ouarzazate - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech
Wake up early morning to enjoy the sunrise on the top of the dune in the Sahara Desert then have your breakfast. After these beautiful moments, you will ride your camel back to the hotel where you can shower. We depart towards Tineghir passing by Erfoud and Tinejdad. Have a break for lunch. In the afternoon, we will continue to Todra gorges via Tineghir. Stopping along the way for photos and admiring the views. Arrival to Todra Gorges to enjoy its marvelous Canyons views while hiking on foot. Later on, we drive to Boumalne du dades or KalaaM’gouna and stopping for a panoramic view of dades valley. Then make your way to Marrakech via KellaaMgouna, Ouarzazate and High Atlas Mountains. Arrive Marrakech around 6 PM
