3 Days Tour From Fez To Sahara Desert. Fez Founded in the 9th century, Fez reached its height in the 13th–14th centuries under the Marinids, when it replaced Marrakesh as the capital of the kingdom. The urban fabric and the principal monuments in the medina – madrasas, fondouks, palaces, residences, mosques and fountains - date from this period.
Day 1: Fez – Ifrane – Midelt - Erfoud - Rissani - Merzouga.
From your hotel/riad in Fez we will drive to Merzouga. We drive over the Middle Atlas Mountains and see the beauty of the aromatic cedar forest. Along this route we will pass through Ifran City where you will see the sculpture of a lion in a park. Then, we will drive to Azrou a small Berber village and we will take a break in Azrou forest to take photos for monkeys known as “Magots”. then we continue to Midelt City, along mountains of the Middle Atlas. In Midelt we will lunch and afterwards we will continue our journey and cross Tizi N’talghomt pass where you will see how the land changes the nearer to Errachidia City you get Thereafter, we will cross Ziz Valley and pass through a series of fortified Berber villages along Ziz River and pass through city of Erfoud. And In Merzouga where we will stay overnight
Day 2: Explore Merzouga and camel ride (night in tent in middle sand dunes)
After breakfast in the hotel, you will begin your journey of Merzouga before camel ride to the camp. We will visit Khamlia Village where you will see Gnawa, who originated in West Africa, and were brought to Morocco by migration. After, we take a break and have tea with them. Afterwards, we will visit the mines, nomads and see unique handicrafts behind Erg Chebbi. In the evening you will ride camel with to discover what the golden sand dunes hide, and have dinner in Berber tent and listen to desert music.
Day 3: Merzouga Sahara Desert - back to Fes
Early morning the camel man will wake you up to climb the sand dunes so that you can see the sunrise and take some pictures. The camel man will bring you back to your hotel and have shower with breakfast. After breakfast, we will drive in the same way to Fez and bring you back to your hotel/riad. At the end of the tour we would be delighted for your feedback about our tours. , the post office and the Ministry of Defence building. Many grand boulevards lined with wonderful architecture go off this square. To the south is the Parc de la Ligue Arabe , designed in 1918 with a majestic palm-tree-lined promenade.
