3 Days Tour Details
From your hotel/riad in Fez we will start our 3 Days From Fez to Sahara Desert and drive to Merzouga and pass over the Middle Atlas Mountains where you can savor the beauty of the aromatic cedar forest and fertile green valleys. Along this route we will pass through Ifran City where you will see the sculpture of a lion in a park. Then, we will drive to Azrou a small Berber village and we will take a break in Azrou forest which is the home of the Barbary macaque monkeys known as “Magots”. Your day trip then continues to Midelt City along the green hills and mountains of the Middle Atlas. In Midelt we will break for lunch and afterwards we will continue on our journey and cross Tizi N’talghomt pass and Ziz Gorge where you will see how the land changes the nearer to Errachidia City you get Thereafter, we will journey along Ziz Valley and pass through a series of fortified Berber villages along Ziz River and also pass through the small cities of Erfoud and Riassani. In Merzouga we will stay overnight in a hotel.
After breakfast in the hotel you will begin your journey around Merzouga before camel trekking to middle dunes and stay in a traditional Berber tent. Next day we will visit Khamlia Village where you will see (Gnawa black people) who originated in West Africa and were brought to Morocco by migration. We will take a break and have a glass of tea and listen to their music. Afterwards we will visit the mines, nomads and see unique handicrafts behind Erg Chebbi. In the evening you will ride by camel with a professional camel man to discover what the golden sand dunes hide, and there you will have dinner in Berber tent and listen to desert music.
Early morning the camel man will wake you up to climb the sand dunes so that you can see the sunrise and take some pictures. The camel man will bring you back to your hotel so you can shower and have breakfast. After breakfast, we will drive the same way to Fez and bring you back to your hotel/riad.
